3) Nathaniel Clyne (2015)
The full-back arrives at Anfield after three very positive years with Southampton. The 24-year-old is now a fully-established England international and this is surely the perfect time for him to make such a move.
2) Gary McAllister (2000)
The signing of the veteran midfielder raised plenty of eyebrows at Merseyside, but it proved to be a masterstroke from Gerard Houllier. He scored crucial goals for us during his brief time at the club and won five major titles.
1) James Milner (2015)
Something of a veteran midfielder, having spent over a decade in the Premier League, but still more than capable of making a real difference at the top level. Manchester City’s loss should prove to be very much our gain.
