Brendan Rodgers introduced his new superstar Brazilian Roberto Firmino to the game 78 minutes after it began on Sunday, and in truth, the 23-year-old summer signing didn’t have too much time to stamp his authority on the match.
Still, he showed some nice touches from a slightly inverted spot down the right, and it’ll be interesting to see whether Brendan Rodgers decides to start him against Bournemouth in a week’s time after another seven days of bedding into the squad and preparation.

With Jordon Ibe and Adam Lallana largely flattering to deceive against Stoke, it could well be that Rodgers gives Firmino the chance his talent and price-tag has warranted.
Let’s hope the Anfield crowd next Monday evening can inspire the ex-Hoffenheim attacker into producing the goods early on.
