Jordan Henderson ruled out for eight weeks with broken foot

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson has been ruled out for six-eight weeks after breaking a bone in his foot during a training session which represents a huge blow for us, Sky Sports News reports.

Henderson had been struggling with a heel injury earlier on this season and hasn’t made an appearance for us since our home victory against Bournemouth last month.

It was subsequently reported, as per The Guardian, that Henderson flew to America in order to receive some specialist treatments similar to what Daniel Sturridge experienced.

However, after returning to full training and in full contention to feature in our Premier League clash against Norwich City, Henderson has suffered a frustrating setback after breaking his foot in training.

According to the Echo, his latest injury is completely separate to his troublesome heel problem which only heightens the frustration for our midfielder.

We seem slightly threadbare in the central midfielder area and Henderson’s latest injury will only increase the workload on Emre Can and James Milner.

Hopefully, they can sustain their form and fitness, with the added help of the rising Jordan Rossiter.
