Leroy Sane agrees €37m deal with European giants – Will sign in summer

It appears Liverpool, Manchester City and whoever else was interested in Schalke wonderkid Leroy Sane have been gazumped by Barcelona – with the Spanish giants agreeing a €37m deal for the German flyer.

That’s according to an exclusive report in France Football today, who’ve claimed the 20-year-old has agreed a six-year deal with the European champions, but won’t move until the end of the season.

Sane burst onto the scene this term, scoring five and assisting five to boot – earning a cap for the World Cup holders as well.

We had a €15m bid for Sane rejected in the summer (via Bild), which would have been an almighty steal in hindsight, but now Barcelona have agreed to spend an enormous sum on potential.

There’s no chance of Sane getting himself immediately into Barcelona’s first-team, as Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi (arguably the three best players in the world) occupy the front three positions.

Those three rarely get injured either and like starting every game, so while we can understand the lure of Barcelona for the player, we think he might be making a poor decision career wise.
