Now you see it, now you don’t!
Roberto Firmino has been trying hard to endear himself to the Liverpool fans this season, and it’s fair to say we are all slowly falling in love with him.
His cause has been greatly aided after he produced a Houdini-esque magic trick with the ball tonight after scoring, denying Joe Hart the chance to rush the ball upfield for the kick-off.
We’re certainly not going to complain about the City stopper being made to look like a fool!
Firmino scored the third goal of the night in the 57th minute, capping a fine move which saw Adam Lallana sweep past several City players before playing in the Brazilian.
The goal marked the 24-year-old’s seventh league strike of the season, a figure which puts him level with the amount he scored in the Bundesliga last season during his final season with Hoffenheim (via Soccerway).
The result has moved us up to eighth in the league, and we’re now just six points outside the Champions League places.
