Emre Can faces a race against time in his bid to prove his fitness to Jurgen Klopp ahead of the visit of Premier League champions Leicester City this weekend. The game will be an historic Anfield moment as the new Main Stand is unveiled for the first time.

The midfielder missed Germany’s international game with Norway this weekend after suffering a capsular injury in his right foot in training.

According to an article in the Daily Express, he will not train at all for the first half of this week.
