Amazing stat proves why Klopp values Roberto Firmino so highly

Jurgen Klopp loves Roberto Firmino.

It’s been apparent since he first joined the club back in October last year. He has consistently picked the Brazilian to lead the line in big games, often selecting him ahead of more natural strikers like Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi, and Christian Benteke.

But this one incredible stat shows why the German boss values him so highly.

According to Opta, Firmino has been directly involved in 18 goals in 35 Premier League games – managing to bag 11 goals and supply seven assists.

He was on target twice more yesterday, getting the opening goal after 15 minutes with a neat finish, and completeing the scoring a couple of minutes before the end of the game after catching Kasper Schmeichel in no man’s land.

He is now the top scorer for the club this season.
