Liverpool Under-23s thrashed Leicester yesterday, beating our opponents 4-0 at Tranmere’s ground thanks to four first-half goals.
Jurgen Klopp was watching on and would have been suitably impressed, especially with our most talked about teenagers: Ben Woodburn, Ovie Ejaria and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
We’ve picked out this goal to share as it features all three. In fact, it’s a very ‘Klopp-goal’, which pleases us all the more.
Ejaria finds space in central midfield and plays a fantastically weighted pass for Alexander-Arnold, who’s bombed forward from right-back. First time, the fullback squares for Woodburn, who’s come in off his flank on the left to poke home.
Very simple, but very nice to watch. We’re absolutely convinced we’ll see at least one of these guys appearing regularly on the bench by the end of the season.
