The three youth players without Liverpool starts Klopp’s taken to Spain

Of Jurgen Klopp’s 27-man squad which travelled to La Manga, only three have never started under his leadership: Harry Wilson, Conor Masterson and Yan Dhanda.

The likes of Ben Woodburn, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Connor Randall, Sheyi Ojo and Joe Gomez are all in Spain too, but they’re very well known to supporters and have all started games for Klopp.

But while Wilson has come off the bench on one occasion, Masterson and Dhanda have only so far played youth football.

Wilson is the best known, because he’s been superb for the Under-23s all season and the only surprise is that he’s not had more opportunities. He’s already reached 20 goals this term, all the more impressive considering he plays on the flank.

Masterson skippers the Under-18s and has been with us since he was 13-years-old. He’s Northern Irish and is a commanding centre-back with excellent leadership skills and physical strength.

Dhanda is a skilful 18-year-old who’s been with us since 2013. He tears up trees for the Under-18s, but doesn’t yet possess the physicality to play for the Under-23s and certainly not the first-team.

We wish them all very well!
