Emre Can is starting in holding midfield ahead of skipper Jordan Henderson tonight, with the captain sadly ruled out with injury. It’s not certain he’ll be fit for the weekend either, with Liverpool facing Arsenal at Anfield in what’s likely to be another crunch clash.
The young German has been poor recently, and fan opinion was split on his recall after he was benched for the Spurs win last time out.

However, Can will be in his more natural holding midfield role this evening, rather than the box-to-box role he’s struggled in throughout this campaign.
Remember, this is the position Can played last season, where he was actually one of the first names on Jurgen Klopp’s team-sheet, starting ahead of Henderson in the Europa League final.
We’re backing Can to bounce back tonight. It’s high time he shows us what he can do.
I believe in Emre Can❤

Twitter excuses if we don’t win tonight:
1. FSG.
2. Leicester sacking Ranieri.
3. Not playing for 2 weeks.
4. Emre Can.
5. Lucas.— Tim Bolton (@timbolton1) February 27, 2017
Huge game for Emre Can. Not convincing me at all recently, if anything he looks like he is regressing. Time to step up!

If there’s any position that Emre Can will succeed at Liverpool it’s at #6. His performances in the EL last season were brilliant.
