Emre Can scored an excellent winner yesterday at Anfield against Burnley and was subsequently awarded the Man of the Match award.
The German started at the base of midfield and put in another promising display after shining against Arsenal the weekend previous.

Can was dreadful in January, but performs better when he play the anchorman role which has been possible in Jordan Henderson’s absence.
Can is currently involved in a contract stand-off with the club, and he’ll need much more good outings like this one if we’re to give in to his demands.
