There’s nothing that screams ‘modern football’ like players from different clubs sounding each other out on social media ahead of the summer transfer window!
Obviously, we know this usually means nothing – but it still got Liverpool supporters talking.

England youth international Ryan Sessegnon, Liverpool’s primary transfer target for left-back this summer, commented on Ben Woodburn’s Instagram post today – referring to our Welsh wonderkid as a ‘Baller’ (which means, ‘good footballer’ apparently!).

We’re not sure where Sessegnon and Woodburn will know each other from, as our youngster has been representing Wales since Under-15 level having been born in Nottingham, while Fulham’s defender has done the same for England, born in southwest London.
Perhaps it’s because a summer transfer is already done and the two are acquainting themselves with each other before pre-season tour!
More likely though is that it’s just two very talented teenage footballers being nice to each other for the sake of being nice, and that Liverpool still have a tricky summer of negotiations to clinch the seven-goal left-back.
