Simon Mignolet is now an above average Premier League goalkeeper.
Whether he’s good enough long-term? Who knows – but his improvement this season has been truly impressive and Liverpool fans should take note of it.

Between 2013 and 2016, Mignolet was ‘worse’ than the average Premier League goalkeeper in three key measurements: Aerial Duel Success Rate, Minutes Per Error and Claim/Punch Success Rate.
This season, he’s performing better than the average Premier League stopper in all of those yardsticks…

Recently, he’s saved us against Stoke and West Brom and is an automatic starter at the backline with few fans criticising his selection.
