Liverpool’s newly-appointed CEO Peter Moore has made himself a lot of friends in the early stages of his time at the club, taking to Twitter to interact with fellow Reds.

Moore was heavily active on social media on Friday as the club welcomed new summer signing Mohamed Salah following his £36.9million move from Roma.

The boyhood Liverpool supporter followed up a series of excited tweets regarding Salah’s arrival with an update on the resurfacing of the Anfield pitch before having some fun with a particular transfer rumour.

One fan was greeted with a witty reply from Moore when he urged the club to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has reportedly been subject to interest from Jurgen Klopp in recent weeks.

Moore met with Salah on Friday as the Egyptian received his special stadium tour and was at hand to bid the winger farewell when he returned home at the end of the day, joking that the rest of the budget had been spent on the flight.

His notable love for the club and the way he has involved himself with the supporters marks a great start to his new job.

Here’s a look at his best bits from Twitter over the past two days…
