The Brazilian competed with teammates Sadio Mane and Joel Matip as all three were quizzed on the definition of certain Scouse phrases.
It represented the latest example of a familiar trend that has often seen a number of Liverpool’s foreign players challenged on how much they have picked up since moving to Merseyside.
Lucas Leiva reigned supreme towards the end of his time at the club, proving his worth as Liverpool’s adopted Scouser.
It was his fellow countryman who entered the spotlight this time, with Coutinho surprising many with just how familiar he was with particular sayings.
The 25-year-old has been the main topic of conversation around Anfield lately amid speculation linking him to Barcelona, who saw an opening bid of £72million for him rejected by the Reds and met with an insistence that he will not be sold.
His notable pride after answering his final question correctly is something sure to put a smile on the face of supporters.
