Liverpool are paying just £55m for Naby Keita to sign next year, which in this day and age, is an absolute bargain for the best midfielder in Germany,
Sky Sports have reported that the ‘premium’ we’ve spent to confirm his signature for 2018 is just £7m above his £48m release clause, which of course becomes active next term.
Great business by Liverpool to get Keita for £55m in today’s market (£48m release clause + £7m premium). Had £66m bid turned down last month

Liverpool had a £66m bid rejected earlier this summer and Barcelona came in with £75m yesterday, but Rb Leipzig are so desperate to keep the 22-year-old for their Champions League campaign that they preferred to do a cheaper future deal instead.
Now, Liverpool fans will have to watch the Guinean from afar. Hopefully he’ll continue his meteoric rise and will arrive at Anfield and even more rounded midfielder than he currently is.
