LFC’s new signing picks up disappointing injury

Liverpool’s £55m club record signing Naby Keita, who’s not joining until 2018 of course, sadly picked up an abductor injury in the Bundesliga last night.

The 22-year-old scored a superb goal from 25-yards which helped clinch his side a 2-0 win against HSV, but he couldn’t complete the full 90 and is now a doubt for RB Leipzig’s Champions League debut next week.

It would be a crying shame if Keita missed the Monaco clash, considering he was the primary reason RB Leipzig qualified via their performances last season.

Still, the likes of Timo Werner and Emil Forsberg could cope in his absence.

Jurgen Klopp has recently lauded the signing of Keita, who he has declared the best player in Germany.

Next term, our central midfield options are going to be exceptional, inserting Keita into a squad that already features the likes of Jordan Henderson, Emre Can, Gini Wijnaldum, Adam Lallana and Coutinho.

Time will tell if all those above names remain upon the 22-year-old’s arrival.
