It looks increasingly like Emre Can is pining for a move away from Liverpool.
The German’s contract expires at the end of this season and he’s so far showed no sign of putting pen to paper, despite the fact foreign teams will be able to freely approach him from January 1.
Juventus are very interested and the 23-year-old recently discussed their interest:
“It’s always an honour to receive an offer from such a renowned club, but currently I am only focused on the season with Liverpool. My agent takes care of the rest,” he told ESPN, much to the bemusement of Reds.
As a result, many feel disrespected and instead of urging the club to offer Can a new deal, have encouraged Liverpool to sell at the earliest possible chance in order to make some money instead of losing him for free.
For us, there’s no point cutting our nose off to spite our face. If Can can still help our first XI, we should deploy him while we can. Ideally, we’ll give him a contract with a big enough release clause that his eventual departure won’t hurt us financially too much.
Where do you stand, Reds?
I actually would prefer we just sell Emre Can in Jan now tbh cause its clear he won’t sign and I question his commitment

I cannot understand why we would continue to play Emre Can. Flirting with Juventus and refusing to sign a contract.

Overrated , seemingly full of self importance !! Never seen the fuss. Get rid

I think Emre Can is a very good player, though has never quite become ‘elite.’
I’d prefer he stays, but Keita is his Direct replacement.
