Can is still an important player for Liverpool this season, but we can’t see the 23-year-old staying beyond this summer.
If he wanted to remain a red, he would have put pen to paper already – it’s that simple.
With Liverpool also resigned to losing Coutinho, it feels like two starters won’t be available to Jurgen Klopp next term, the first time the manager has lost players against his will since joining in 2015.
Thankfully, Naby Keita is signing from Rb Leipzig, who’s an upgrade on Can, but we’d still much prefer the Germany international to stay.
Juve is obviously a pull, but we’d hope to be offering bigger wages than the Italians and regular Champions League participation.
