Liverpool fans are becoming increasingly excited by the potential early arrival of Naby Keita at Anfield.
The Echo says that providing we agree to pay Rb Leipzig a £13m fee, they’ll allow him to transfer this January rather than the summer.

As a result, we thought it a good time to compare the 22-year-old to the dynamic midfielders at our Premier League rivals, in terms of statistics: Matic and Pogba at United, Kante at Chelsea, Xhaka at Arsenal and Fernandinho at City.
Based on league performances this season, Keita walks all over the lot of them in vital metrics such as key passes, tackles, interceptions, take-ons and goals.

In fact, the only categories he isn’t the best at are goals/90 (second to Pogba) and key passes (second to Kante).
Everything else he completely excels at.
And remember, he’s only 22, younger than the men he’s up against here.
We urge Liverpool to get this over the line – we want Naby here now!
This season, ‘reckless’ ‘underperforming’ Naby Keita averages more key passes, more tackles, more interceptions and more successful dribbles per 90 than ‘world-class’ Paul Pogba in their respective leagues.
