Liverpool should be ‘really worried’ about ‘Best in the world’ Bobby

Respected journalist Rory Smith has waxed lyrical about Roberto Firmino, claiming he’s the most complete forward on the planet.

However, he reckons the 26-year-old’s form could spark a summer bid from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich…

The Brazilian has been sensational for us this term, and not just because of the 23 goals he’s plundered in all competitions.

Firmino’s link-up play, defensive contribution and unselfish movement is quite frankly, second to none – and enables Mo Salah to thrive.

Smith said: “Firmino is the most complete modern centre-forward in the world.

“In that 9 and a 1/2 role, that works in modern systems, where your job is to drop off and find space, Firmino is the best player at that in the world.

“If Lewandowski signed for Real Madrid in the summer, if I was Liverpool, I’d be really worried about Bayern Munich and Firmino.”

Unlike Smith, we don’t think there’s any need to be worried.

Firmino’s goal tally throughout his career means Real Madrid or Barcelona won’t go in for him, and we think Liverpool could easily keep hold of a player if Bayern came after him.

We could pay similar wages and hopefully, Firmino will be tied down to a monstrous new contract soon which will put us in a position of strength.

What’s more, he works fantastically under Jurgen Klopp, who simply wouldn’t allow his departure.
