Roberto Firmino completed a familiar treble on Saturday with Liverpool’s notorious front three all boasting a place on the scoresheet against Bournemouth.
The Brazilian rounded off a 3-0 win late in the second half with a cool finish into the bottom corner after being found by the superb Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
With all three points in the bag, Firmino produced his familiar ‘kung-fu’ celebration to cap off an emphatic week for all affiliated with the club.
Jurgen Klopp’s men had gone ahead early in the first half after Sadio Mane pounced on his saved header to fire home from close range.
The hosts had to be patient in search of their second as Bournemouth produced an organised defensive display to frustrate a dominant Liverpool.
Mohamed Salah wouldn’t be denied, though, as he met Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross with a stunning header to take his tally to 40 goals across all competitions for the season.
Firmino then topped off a comfortable day to take Liverpool 10 points ahead of fifth-placed Chelsea and just two games away from a top four Premier League finish.
