Dejan Lovren scored a much more famous header in front of the Kop against Borussia Dortmund back in 2016 – but this one was pretty nice as well!
With Liverpool 1-0 up against Brighton, our Croatian central defender ran from deep and bulleted a header past a helpless Mat Ryan in the opposition net.
Andrew Robertson’s cross was great, but Lovren doesn’t score often so his contribution should be applauded.
Liverpool ran riot in the first-half and should have been 5-0 up, without exaggeration, but at the time of writing, it looks like we’re cruising to a top four finish anyway.
We’re also delighted Lovren will be full of confidence ahead of Kiev in two weeks, as if there’s one player who needs to be feeling good about himself, it’s Dejan.
