Naby Keita has apparently not been as good in 2017/18 than he was in 2016/17, but these stats beg to differ…

Madness as Real Madrid look to scupper Naby Keita deal
In the Bundesliga, Keita made the sixth most ground challenges (tackles and interceptions), and the most on average per 90 minutes… On top of this defensive work, he’s made the second most key passes and the second most per 90 behind Marco Reus. He’s completed the third most dribbles, with only out and out wingers averaging more per 90.
That, quite simply, is a jaw-dropping, world-class contribution:

For a box-to-box midfielder, you quite literally couldn’t ask for anything more.
Even if we only brought in Keita this summer (which won’t happen) our team for next campaign will still be massively improved.
Of course, we’re likely to add quality all over the squad.
Because we confirmed him last year, there’s less excitement about Keita, but in reality he’s a simply incredible buy and everyone at Liverpool should be congratulated for getting it done.
