It’s been one of the worst kept secrets in Liverpool, but Naby Keita will definitely wear the no.8 upon arrival!
A proper source has finally confirmed the news which in truth, we all knew anyway!
“Naby Keita will certainly be at Melwood at the beginning of July, with his £52.5m switch from RB Leipzig having been completed last summer,” writes Dominic King in the Daily Mail.
“The Guinea midfielder will wear the No 8 that has been vacant since Steven Gerrard left in 2015.”
Liverpool’s no.10 is also free since Coutinho’s departure, but we reckon Nabil Fekir we take the iconic number upon arrival, which as per King’s article, is now expected after the Champions League Final.

Has Klopp already hinted at FEKIR’S Liverpool role…?!
Both Keita and Fekir are likely to take up two places in our midfield, either side of an anchoring midfielder.
Jordan Henderson can already do the job to a high standard, but we’re likely to bring in another no.6 considering that our captain rarely plays two games in a week and has been dogged with fitness issues throughout Jurgen Klopp’s tenure.
In defence, we’re very well stocked at fullback, but will need another keeper when Simon Mignolet leaves, as the Belgian will surely not want to spend another season warming the bench.
Whether Klopp brings in a backup option or an elite stopper to challenge Loris Karius for the role remains to be seen.
Plenty of fans would like us to buy a central defender, but we’d be surprised if Klopp did, actually. Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip, Ragnar Klavan and Joe Gomez are already competing for one spot alongside Virgil van Dijk.
