Roberto Firmino celebrated his goal against Watford in bizarre style – but it has been revealed that it means he feels he has been in a rut – and wanted to cleanse himself off the bad vibes!
In Latin America, that means brushing the bad vibes off of him!

As Twitter user @GimoJ explained, Firmino must feel that he has been in a poor run of form, and so he was brushing away any negativity – in what’s actually a common spiritual act in Latin America.
@BabuYagu confirms as much, too.
My Brazilian wife is my Roberto Firmino celebration translator.
This looks like a espiritual ritual (e.g. Umbanda / Candomble / Kardecista) where the person breaks the bad luck with a spiritual cleanse.

That strike against Watford was only his third league goal of the season, but a lot of that is down to a deeper role in the side.
Let’s hope he has thoroughly brushed off those negative vibes and can kick on from here on in!
