Jordan Henderson has taken time to praise Naby Keita following the Guinean’s exceptional outing against Burnley last night.

Keita started his first match since October and was Liverpool’s Man of the Match in the 3-1 victory over Sean Dyche’s rugged relegation battlers.

The 23-year-old got on the ball plenty, drove us forward, had six shots on goal and was vital in transitioning us through the phases and up the field.

Liverpool’s skipper noticed his improvement, in what was easily Keita’s best performance since arriving at the club.

“He started the season brilliantly and obviously then getting an injury set him back a little bit. But you can see how good a player he is,” Henderson told Liverpoolfc.com.

“That shot with the left foot and the save from Hart was fantastic. In his overall play he is comfortable on the ball and he helps build up play from the back.

“He drives the ball forward, which is big for us. I thought he was outstanding, along with everybody else really.”

Jurgen Klopp now has a difficult decision to make in every single match about which midfield and what formation to select.

He has both Fabinho and Keita ready to start games, potentially alongside each other, which has so far not happened.

On top of the summer signings though, there’s Hendo, James Milner and Gini Wijnaldum – so providing all are playing well – means we have decent options for the hectic festive period.
