Liverpool’s chairman Tom Werner will be the executive producer on a new BBC sitcom about Premier League footballers, which was written by the people behind The Inbetweeners!
Werner is a huge TV producer in the United States and has made some of the biggest comedies of the past few decades on the other side of the Atlantic.
Journalist Rob Harris shared the news on Twitter:

We wonder if Jurgen Klopp or Mo Salah will make a cameo?!
Liverpool’s owners and the people who run the club have come in for plenty of stick in the past, but we actually think they’re doing a great job.
They turned over the biggest financial profit of any club in football history for the 2017/18 financial year – all while securing a number of exceptional players. They got Jurgen Klopp to the club and the German wants to stay for as long as it takes to win trophies; and they expanded the New Main Stand.
It’s just trophies that need to follow.
