It’s been a long time coming for Naby Keita.
We signed him in 2017, but had to wait a year for the Guinean to move from Rb Leipzig to Merseyside.
But his well documented move has perhaps not gone exactly to plan since the start of this campaign.
Keita has been in and out of the side, has picked up injuries, and doesn’t appear to have a settled role in Jurgen Klopp’s formation.
But the boss gave him a chance from the outset tonight v Southampton, and the midfielder scored our crucial equaliser in the first-half – with a back-post header!
His celebration shows exactly what it means to him – and he had his best mate Sadio Mane there to enjoy it with.
Mane and Keita ❤️❤️ the relief on Keita’s face 😭❤️pic.twitter.com/nKRgZkwRy6
