Naby Keita is really coming into his own at Liverpool.
It’s taken him longer than we hoped, but it seems the Guinean has settled into Premier League life and found a slot in Jurgen Klopp’s set-up – just in time for the run-in.
The boss uses Keita on the left of his midfield three, encouraging the 24-year-old to dribble and pass forward; but also win the ball back in both halves of the field.
Against Cardiff on Sunday, Keita did all of this – as you can see in his individual highlights compilation we’ve shared below.
To us, he just looks entirely more confident both on and off the ball. Ever since his goal against Southampton, a weight seems to have been lifted from his back.
For us, Liverpool’s best starting midfield now features Fabinho holding, with Jordan Henderson and Keita either side.
To think Gini Wijnaldum, probably our most consistent performer based on the entirety of the season, isn’t in it – says much about Keita’s improvement.
