Ilkay Gundogan paid special praise to Liverpool after Manchester City won the Premier League title yesterday.
We were hoping Brighton would do us a favour at the AMEX, but despite taking a lead, they couldn’t hold a rampant City out for long.

Liverpool beat Wolves 2-0 at Anfield, but sadly, our 97-point season wasn’t enough for glory.
Gundogan’s tweet is nice, although in reality, we’re still in a fair bit of pain.
Also big respect to @LFC for a fantastic season that is usually enough to deserve and get the league title. You've been a great opponent until the very last match day. It was an amazing title race! #EPL @premierleague

It’s imperative that we’re not down for long, of course.
Unlike City, Liverpool have a Champions League Final to get ready for.
The game isn’t until June 1, so we have more or less three weeks to prepare for the match in Madrid against Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs.
Collecting no.6 would be a terrific reward for Jurgen Klopp’s wonderful team and in reality, the least we deserve from an outrageous campaign.
And in terms of the Premier League, we’ll go again – perhaps aided by some sanctions to City once the multiple investigations for their FFP cheating are concluded!
