Championship club confident of landing Liverpool midfielder

Championship club Reading are making a move to sign Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria for a second loan stint at the Madejski Stadium.

According to Football Insider, talks with the Berkshireclub have begun, and they reckon Reading are “confident” that the Reds will allow him to sign on for another season.

Ejaria has enjoyed loan spells Sunderland, Scottish Premier League club Rangers and Reading, but – as per the same report – hasn’t done enough to get himself into Jurgen Klopp’s first team plans.

The midfielder hasn’t long penned a deal to keep him at Anfield for the long-term future so it makes sense that we would give the 21-year-old another chance to prove himself elsewhere.

If Ejaria does indeed join Reading on loan again then he needs to go there and absolutely smash it – take a look at Harry Wilson, fans are now considering him for squad depth, the same could happen to our Ovie.

Our man netted once in the Championship last season, and totted up two assists, in his 16 appearances for the Berkshire club – it’s an increase on his numbers from his time with Rangers and Sunderland, but he’s going to have to improve a lot more if he’s to be considered by Klopp.
