Serie A superstar open to Premier League move amid Liverpool links

Inter and Argentina striker Mauro Icardi is reportedly open to a move to one of the Premier League’s “big six”, but the forward’s wife-turned-agent Wanda Nara has put off Manchester United.

That’s according to 90min who suggest that Liverpool are among the clubs being considered by the Inter Milan superstar for his next move.

His future at the Nerazzurri was thrown into doubt when he was stripped of the club’s captaincy earlier this year amid rumours of a transfer to Juventus.

Icardi and his wife’s antics off the field would surely make Jurgen Klopp baulk at the idea of the Argentine international making Anfield his next home.

The Inter striker is, without doubt, one of the most talented forwards in the world, but his and his wife’s theatrics in the media spotlight should put off the Reds.

Klopp has built a team at Liverpool that all get on like a group of old friends, and even with characters like the flamboyant Roberto Firmino, but Icardi and his wife could rock the boat.

That being said, last season Icardi’s average was 0.78 goals per game – he scored 29 goals in 37 club matches for Inter and would be a great impact on the field.
