Liverpool superstar urged to quit Anfield to join La Liga club by his country’s FA

Liverpool star Sadio Mane has been urged to quit the Anfield club, and move to Real Madrid to fulfil his true potential.

Saee Seck reckons his talisman should be plying his trade away from the reigning Champions of Europe, and make the move to Spain as he’s his the ceiling on Merseyside.

The 27-year-old forward shared the Premier League’s Golden Boot with team-mate Mo Salah and Arsenal striker Emerick Pierre Aubameyang.

The Senegalese international has recently signed a new long-term contract at Liverpool, but the boss of his country’s FA is keen on him moving to La Liga giants Real Madrid.

Everybody in the world knows that Mane is in the top ten best footballers in the world and he has achieved significant success at Liverpool in the past season,Seck told the Mirror.

He alongside Mo Salah and Firmino are phenomenal. But this is football and he won the Champions League last season and he has the chance to go to Madrid. For me I think it’s the best club in the world, even if I am a Barcelona fan I still think Real is the best and Mane should be thinking of that offer seriously.

The career of a footballer is very short and sometimes you don’t get the chance a lot so if it’s there, and I think Zidane likes him, why not?

He played in Southampton and when the chance came he took it and went to Liverpool and he has held the challenge well in England. I think he will do well with another challenge in another country.

While I naturally disagree with Seck’s comments, I do agree that Sadio is among the top ten footballers in the world, but don’t think he needs to move anywhere to fulfil his potential.

I also think it’s wildly irrational to suggest such a thing while Senegal are still fighting for the African Cup of Nations title – Mane is bound to hear what has been said, and it may unsettle him.

That being said, Sadio has just signed a new long-term deal, and won’t be moving anywhere anytime soon.
