Roberto Firmino has revealed a new tattoo that he has had done over the summer, which shows him lifting the Champions League trophy aloft as part of the celebrations post-Madrid.
His goals en route to the final were often crucial – without his last-minute winner in the group stages against Paris Saint Germain on matchday one, for instance, the Reds might not have even made the knockout stages – and while he wasn’t at his best in the final because of injury, Firmino was still a big part of the team.
Winning the Champions League is the pinnacle of the club game for players in Europe, and while most Reds fans were more desperate to win the Premier League, for the players, this was the thing they all would have wanted.

Firmino is expected back at Melwood in time to head off to Evian for the next stage of the Reds’ pre-season preparations having won the Copa America with Brazil this summer.
He should be fit in time to start the new season, beginning with the Community Shield against Manchester City in just over a week’s time.
