Tam McManus, a former Aberdeen striker and current pundit for BBC Sport, says that Andy Robertson was ‘poor again’ for Scotland on Friday night, and claims Steve Clarke’s captain needs to relax more in order to succeed.
Robertson has been absolutely unreal for the Reds over the last few months, but for his country, it has not been clicking over the last few matches.
On Friday, they lost at home to Russia in a crucial qualifier for Euro 2020 despite having gone in front in the game.
Andy Robertson been poor again and to be honest I have yet to see him have a great game for Scotland. Top class player but I think he is putting too much pressure on himself to do everything for Scotland. Similar to Ryan Giggs at Wales etc. Needs to relax and just play his game.

As long as he’s performing for the Reds, we’re certainly not worried, and that is the case right now, no doubt about it.
The problem might just be that his Scotland teammates are not on the same wavelength as he is. They certainly are far from being at the same standard as what he’s used to playing with week in, week out.
