Jurgen Klopp could welcome Naby Keita back to his Liverpool squad after the international break, according to the Express.
The Guinean has not played a minute of first-team football this season after injuring his groin in the buildup to the European Super Cup – having sat out most of pre-season after fitness injuries that were the result of him being rushed back for the AFCON.
But the Express state the midfielder could be back in action, while suggesting Alisson is still sadly a way off returning between our sticks, meaning Adrian will continue in goal.
Their report, however, is based on Physio Room, a website that tracks/predicts the fitness of Premier League players – and we wouldn’t be sure if they are 100% reliable.
In all honesty, there’s no need to rush Keita back. Fabinho is brilliant at no.6, with Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum doing excellent tactical work either side.
That trio should be enough to beat Newcastle, although there’s also the possibility Klopp will rotate a little – considering we have Napoli midweek and then Chelsea the following Sunday.
