It’s that time of the year again when EA Sport releases it’s latest instalment of FIFA – and the footballing world goes ballistic as it debates individual player ratings.
And in FIFA 20, the biggest gripe with Liverpool fans on Twitter is the game’s decision to rate Roberto Firmino ’86’ – which is less than Karim Benzema, Dries Mertens or Heung-Min Son…
Last season, Bobby won the Champions League and the Copa America – and is an automatic starter for both Liverpool and Brazil.
Jurgen Klopp would describe him as our most important player, ahead of Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah – but many casual observers outside the club underestimate his influence due to his goal tally – which only reached 20+ since his 2015 arrival.
In all honesty, it’s a game and doesn’t really matter. But it gets everyone talking, so we’ve rounded up some of the outraged tweets!
If you needed further proof that the people at EA don’t watch football.
Firmino won the Champions League, Copa America and is part of the best attack in Europe yet in 2019, Karim Benzema, Dries Mertens and Heung-Min Son apparently better.
