Comments from a few years ago of Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero have resurfaced online, and the Argentine international admits he’s keen on Liverpool.
The former Independiente forward made comments back in 2005 that intimated he’d jump at a move, when he was just 17.
“I have been a Liverpool fan for as long as I can remember and it would be a dream to play there,” he told a Munich newspaper, according to Sky Sports. “I watched the Champions League final and celebrated every goal as if it was for Independiente.”
As it was though, Aguero moved to Atletico Madrid and then City, where he’s established himself as one of the best strikers in world football.
“City fans might not want to hear it, but when I was a kid I wanted to be Owen,” he wrote in his autobiography, as per TalkSPORT, which was released in 2015.
Kun may have changed his mind on the Reds since then though, with City being locked in a battle with Liverpool for two years now in the Premier League.
City managed to keep the crown away from Anfield last season, but this year could be very different, with the Reds playing with extra confidence after securing a Champions League title.
It makes you wonder – do you think Sergio celebrated Liverpool winning number six?
