Liverpool’s midfield was woeful against Manchester United.
Fabinho had his worst game of the season, Jordan Henderson was poor again and Gini Wijnaldum went quiet after a positive start.
But Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Adam Lallana and Naby Keita were all good when they came on – and despite Lallana getting the goal, it was Keita who impressed us most.
The Guinean completed 22 of his 25 passes and made four ball recoveries in just 13 minutes. His pass to Andy Robertson led to our equaliser and his ability to dictate tempo – by either slowing or speeding up play – improved us greatly.
Keita has to 100% start v Genk on Wednesday, we’d suggest – and we hope he impresses enough to keep his spot in the side for the Tottenham clash on Saturday as well.
