Liverpool star Raheem Sterling has admitted his disappointment at comments made by former Queens Park Rangers’ scout Peter Moring, who recently revealed that the forward wasn’t the best player he uncovered.

Moring once signed Sterling for just £50 but seemingly still remains unconvinced by the 20-year-old’s talent. The England international responded on social media, voicing his discontent to his 1.13 million Twitter followers.
Sterling, who is quoted by the Daily Mirror, said: “Instead of saying your happy for another young lad out of the community living his dream you say he wasn’t the best in the area.
“‘Your 2 small you will never make it.’ funny enough best advice I have ever had at the age of 12.”
Sterling has made 110 appearances for Liverpool’s first-team since making his debut in 2012, scoring 21 goals. He also has 13 caps for his country, all but one of which came last year.
