Emre Can faces a race against time in his bid to prove his fitness to Jurgen Klopp ahead of the visit of Premier League champions Leicester City this weekend. The game will be an historic Anfield moment as the new Main Stand is unveiled for the first time.
The midfielder missed Germany’s international game with Norway this weekend after suffering a capsular injury in his right foot in training.
According to an article in the Daily Express, he will not train at all for the first half of this week.
We have only seen Can once in the league so far this season when he came on as a sub against Arsenal on the opening day. He also started our 5-0 win over Burton Albion in the second round of the League Cup, but was withdrawn midway through the second half.
Do you think Klopp will risk him if he is not 100%? Let us know…
