Liverpool’s crazy early summer! Ranking the 14 players signed by the Reds on July 1st this century

12) Anthony Le Tallec (2003)

There was much expected from the young Frenchman when he signed. Unfortunately, he was unable to rediscover his best form during a series of loan spells and was subsequently restricted to just 17 league games for the Reds.

11) Adam Bogdan (2015)

The former Bolton goalkeeper joined the Reds on Wednesday after eight years with the Trotters. He impressed at Premier League level, despite Wanderers’ relegation, and has since done well in the Championship as well.

10) Florent Sinama-Pongolle (2003)

The youngster became known as something of a super-sub during his time an Anfield. He scored our opening goal against Olympiacos in 2004 as we came from behind to seal progress to the Champions League knockout rounds.
