Sterling has been widely linked with a move to Manchester City. The latest rumour, via the Daily Mirror, is that City are preparing to make a take it or leave it offer of £44m for the wantaway England international.
As the Mirror states, City have already been unsuccessful with two bids and Liverpool are determined to hold out until their £50m valuation is met. Sterling has asked to be left our of our pre-season tour to the Far East, possibly to help force through the move, but he’s still been included in the squad listing on our official website.
