Mario Balotelli appears to be cutting an increasingly lonely figure at Liverpool these days, with the striker this week posting a video of himself training alone on social media website Instagram.
The striker is very much surplus to requirements at Anfield, following the summer arrivals of Christian Benteke and Danny Ings, and was asked to train away from the rest of the first-team squad this summer (via The Guardian).

Sadly, the 25-year-old has so far been unable to find himself a new club, something which may well have contributed to the succession of depressive emojis accompanying this video.
Last weekend, Balotelli sent this cryptic tweet which suggested that a resolution to his current situation might have been found. Unfortunately, perhaps we were all trying to read too much into it.

This summer he has been linked with moves to Italy (via Daily Express) and the Middle East (via Daily Mail), but so far nothing has come of such rumours.
His chances of forcing a switch have not been helped by The Independent, who recently detailed his various misdemeanours from during his time on Merseyside.
