Christian Benteke scored his second winning goal in as many matches, but his team-mate Emre Can still felt the need to give him some advice before congratulating him on the final whistle.
At least that’s what we think the young German, who along with Benteke and Dejan Lovren were Liverpool’s best players, was doing in this clip.

At first, we suspected Can was giving Benteke finishing advice – for the one-on-one the striker messed up at the end, but on further inspection it appears the youngster is telling his team-mate he wanted the ball slid to him – when Benteke had fired a cross in earlier in the match.

Can’s energy and enthusiasm in central midfield was excellent and proves the 21-year-old is coming on leaps and bounds under Jurgen Klopp.
Despite Benteke’s important goal though, he was still criticised after the game for his lack of overall contribution.
