In the past we’ve been linked with a move for Barcelona’s Cristian Tello, and this summer we’re apparently back in for the pacy forward, as reported by CorriereDelloSport.
Currently on loan with Serie A side Fiorentina Tello has impressed once again, and we’re among a number of clubs chasing his signature.
We look set to miss out on him though, as the report suggests he’s happy in Italy and is hoping to remain there ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.
CDS suggest that offers were made by both Liverpool and Southampton for the 24-year-old, but both have been shot down. Fiorentina are hoping to extend his loan deal for another year – with a view to making it permanent at the end of next season – securing his services for a bargain fee.

The Spaniard is a solid player, but arguably hasn’t even come close to realising his potential. Whether or not the interest is true, we may well have dodged a bullet. We’ve already signed Sadio Mane this summer, and we really don’t need Tello.
