Sevilla want two LFC players, who would generate us £21m in total

Our Europa League conquerors Sevilla are interested in two of our squad players, it seems.

Not only are they monitoring the situation of Joe Allen, our much-loved Welsh midfielder currently dazzling at Euro 2016, but they are also checking out Luis Alberto – the Spanish playmaker they sold us back in 2013 who’s just returned from two years on loan at Malaga and Deportivo.

This is is according to Melissa Reddy in Goal, who’s proven to be fairly reliable in recent months.

Neither Allen or Alberto would currently be considered automatic starters under Jurgen Klopp this coming season (although some fans reckon the Welshman is now deserving of a longer run), but could fetch the club a cool £21m if they’re sold this summer.

Goal claim no direct bids for either target have been made, but claim it’ll require £7m to tempt us into selling Alberto, while the Daily Mail reckon a £14m valuation has been stuck on Allen’s head.

If we offload Christian Benteke for £31.5m, as is looking likely according to the Guardian, Liverpool could rake in an absolute fortune this summer simply by selling deadwood – which makes a nice change from offloading our best players.

We compiled a list, estimating a potential £80m on sales before we’ve even got rid of Allen – making the £30m we spent on Sadio Mane actually seeming pretty inconsequential.
