Liverpool will move to ensure buy-back and sell-on clauses are added into any Bournemouth deal for Jordon Ibe.

Just a couple of days ago the Echo reported that we’d be including such clauses when dealing with young stars, and it seems we’ll be putting our new philosophy into action immediately.

The 20-year-old is now in talks with the Cherries and must decide whether to make the move.

The Echo have stated that we owe Wycombe 15% of any deal, and we’ll look to protect ourselves in a similar way.

If Ibe does leave the club, it’ll mark a rapid fall from grace – just 12 months ago he signed a new five-year deal with the club after a dazzling second half of the season in 2014/15.

He’s made 58 appearances for us since his transfer in 2011, but fell down the pecking order last term and is now widely considered as being behind Sheyi Ojo in the depth charts.
