Should this matter? Does it make an enormous difference? Do players not have a responsibility to look after their bodies at all times…?

We’re not exactly sure, but are convinced this picture of Mario Balotelli smoking while on holiday in Italy will divide opinion amongst supporters.

The striker wasn’t invited on Liverpool’s pre-season tour of America and the club is trying to get rid as soon as possible, so Balotelli has been allowed an extended break – which he spent in his homeland.

He has no future at Liverpool, so it doesn’t really make a difference to us directly, but there’ll be some potential suitors who’ll see this as a sign Balotelli is not looking after himself appropriately – perhaps fairly so.
